INVITATION TO BID (INFORMAL BIDDING)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN through this Invitation to Bid that Beverly Hills Unified School District
(“District”) invites and will receive sealed bids (“Bid(s)”)) from licensed contractors (“Contractor(s)” or
“Bidder(s)”) for the furnishing to District of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation,
permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for the construction of (“Work”):
Additional Landscape at El Rodeo Elementary School (FAC-2024-25-001)
(“Project” or “Contract”).
The Project consists of: removing existing drought tolerant planting (bushes) and mulch and replacing with
Contractor provided grass in the defined area(s). Contractor shall install new grass, install new irrigation and
replace/alter existing irrigation.
Sealed Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2024, at the Beverly Hills Unified School
District Board Room, located at 255 S. Lasky Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90212, at or after which time Bids
will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids received after said time shall be returned unopened. Any claim

Bids must be submitted on the District’s forms, including the Bid Form. Each Bid must conform and be
responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the Instructions to Bidders.

Business and Professions Code in the following classification(s) throughout the time it submits its Bid and
for the duration of the Project: C-27 – Landscaping. The Bidder's license(s) must be active and in good
standing at the time of the Bid opening and must remain so throughout the term of the Contract.

It is the responsibility of each Bidder to check that website on a daily basis through the close of bids for any
applicable addendum(a) or updates.
The Contract will be awarded, if at all, to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder based on the based

The District’s Governing Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in
any Bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned
within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no Bidder may
withdraw its Bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the Bid opening, during which time the Bid, and any
pricing therein, shall remain open.
